Women in Construction Week 2025: Meet Molly McMaster
As we continue celebrating Women in Construction Week, we spoke to Molly McMaster.
Molly joined VolkerStevin as a Graduate Engineer and has since progressed in her career to a Section Engineer working on the Southsea Coastal Scheme. Molly has worked in the construction industry for almost nine years and was just recently shortlisted for an internal, Employee of the Year Award. Read below to out why Molly loves her career and her advice for women wanting to join the industry.

Molly said: “I love seeing the end of the project and how it is received by the public. I’m lucky to currently work where I grew up, so there’s massive satisfaction and pride of being able to walk my family and friends along the project and say - I built that.
“There is no reason why women can’t impact this industry, trust your skills and capabilities. There are nearly 200 job roles in the GoConstruct careers list, showing the variety of jobs available. Ask the questions, be in the room, there’s a massive value in your voice.”
