Women in Construction Week 2025: Meet Christina Musa
For our final feature in Women in Construction week, we’re hearing from Christina Musa.

Christina Musa
Graduate Engineer
Christina joined VolkerStevin as a placement student working on our HMNB Portsmouth QEC Base Porting Infrastructure project, after a rewarding experience she was thrilled to be offered a graduate position upon completion of her civil engineering degree. Since then, Christina has built a successful career working on some of our amazing projects, including HS2; ground investigation at the Isle of Wight and currently our Leigh expansion and Hildenborough embankment scheme. Christina has shared with us why she chose a career in construction, and what she enjoys most about working in the industry.
Christina said: “I was drawn to a career in construction by a lifelong curiosity about how things work and the appeal of hands-on problem-solving. What I've found is a dynamic world of innovation and collaboration, where every project brings unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
“What I love most is the constant variety – no two days are ever the same. Engineering isn't just a career; it's a source of endless inspiration and a chance to make a real impact."
