The event, aimed at students from Years 7 to 11 (alongside parents and educators), showcased the many exciting career pathways in construction and the wider built environment.

With their interactive wave tank on display, the team demonstrated how various sea defences work and shared insights into the innovative engineering happening at Southsea. They also had inspiring conversations with students about the diverse career opportunities within engineering.

“It's fantastic to see so many young people interested in the impact engineering has on our communities. Events like iConstruct give us the chance to show students how diverse and rewarding a career in construction can be – it’s inspiring to think some of them could be our future colleagues in shaping the built environment."
