VolkerGround Engineering welcome work experience student

VolkerGround Engineering recently welcomed Harrison Cartwright to the team for a week of work experience. Harrison is currently in college where he studies engineering, CTEC business and construction management.

Harrison spent his week working alongside VolkerGround Engineering’s technical manager and design engineers, handling the data received from clients on a number of bearing pile schemes. The team tasked Harrison to pick out the pertinent details from the data and assist in the derivation of ground models, which then form the basis of tender designs.

“This week has been great fun, I have had the opportunity to work alongside the VolkerGround Engineering team and learn the day-to-day operations of an engineer. Although it was only for one week, I have managed to learn a great deal of valuable information which will positively impact my college work going forward. It has also given me an overview of what areas of engineering there are and what I would like to do in the future.”
