Spreading Easter joy across our communities

Last week, teams across our sites up and down the country embraced the Easter spirit by donating over 1,450 chocolate eggs to local charities, hospitals, and foodbanks - spreading smiles and a sweet surprise to those who needed it most.

In Southsea, the Coastal team gifted Easter eggs to children at Queen Alexandra Hospital. Meanwhile, the Preston team from the South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme donated eggs to Royal Preston Hospital’s Paediatric Ward, connecting with nurses and the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity.

Over in Scotland, the Clyde Commercial Framework team shared eggs with Fun First Helensburgh, Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank, and Time For Tully, helping support Easter parties and egg hunts.

Our team working on the New Wear Footbridge in Sunderland donated a collection of Easter eggs to Hope4Kidz who distributed them across 49 organisations in Sunderland and the North East.

The Kendal Flood Risk Management team donated eggs to Kings Foodbank, and the Rochdale and Littleborough team shared their egg collection with the Rochdale Foodbank.

In the south, the Rother Tidal Walls East project delivered Easter treats to The Rye Food Bank and Conquest Hospital, while the Star Inn Gates team supported Bexhill Foodbank.

The Leigh Expansion & Hildenborough Embankment Scheme team visited the Hospice in the Weald and Kent & Sussex Hospital Children’s Ward, distributing eggs to patients, families, and staff. With help from Mott MacDonald, they also donated to the foodbank at St John’s Church in Hildenborough.

Finally, the Teston Sluice project hosted a community Easter Egg Hunt at Teston Country Park - welcoming families and giving out over 200 eggs.

Thanks to everyone who made Easter a little brighter across our communities. Fantastic work, team!
