New Wear high-level footbridge welcome students from Hartlepool college
Our team on the New Wear high-level Footbridge project recently welcomed students from Hartlepool college to site. The group visiting were second year students studying either Level 3 Civil Engineering or Level 3 Construction and the Bulit Environment (CBE).
The students were given a presentation from our project manager, which outlined the plan and scale of the project and showcased the innovative solutions used to overcome challenges throughout the engineering and construction process.
The group also had the unique opportunity to watch our work in action during a site tour, they were taken to three different areas of site allowing them to gain a full understanding of the work being undertaken and see the build progressing.
Feedback from the students was brilliant, and they all enjoyed the tour around the site.
This project was recently awarded the Innovation Award at the North East Constructing Excellence awards and this visit provided a great opportunity for the students to learn more about innovation in the industry on our project local to them.
