New Wear high-level Footbridge visit Fulwell Junior School

Members of our team working on the New Wear high-level Footbridge recently returned to Fulwell Junior School to see the incredible footbridge designs created by the children.

The team had previously visited the school to share more about the project and set a challenge for the children, to create their own footbridge for Sunderland.

Three groups have been shortlisted by the teachers at the school and they have been invited to site for a special tour and to present their ideas to our engineers.

“It was great to see the effort and enthusiasm the children had put into their designs. The shortlisted groups pitched their designs using 3D models and mood boards that they had created, they even considered how they would use sustainable materials within construction!”
