Crown Commercial Service’s Construction Works and Associated Services Framework

VolkerWessels UK is a delivery partner on the £30 billion construction and infrastructure framework managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), part of the Cabinet Office.

The seven-year framework provides central government and other public sector organisations with the opportunity to procure a wide range of building and civil engineering services. This gives clients, such as the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and local authorities, a quick, cost-effective and legally-compliant way to secure VolkerWessels UK as a partner for major projects.

VolkerWessels UK secured places on four lots of the original CCS Construction Works and Associated Services Framework (RM6088):

  • Lot 8 - Maritime is in our specialist area of marine construction works, ancillary structures and associated services (both inland and coastal), at locations throughout the UK. This Lot covers all contract values and work may include, but are not limited to, waterfront facilities including docks, locks, sea walls, slipways, navigation aids and also inland works such as flood defence works.
  • Lot 9 - Airfield is also in our specialist area of airfield construction works, ancillary structures and associated services, at locations throughout the UK. This may include, but is not limited to, airfield, runway and airfield pavement construction work, and "airside" construction i.e. the area of an airport that is within its passport, customs control and security checks.
  • We also secured places on Lot 2.2 and 3.2 in the Southern region, which are for construction works valued at £3m to £10m, and £10m to £30m respectively.

In addition, VolkerWessels UK secured place on the following lots of the CCS Construction Works and Associated Services 2 Framework (RM6267):

  • Lot 4 - Airfield Works (same scope as Lot 9 above).
  • Lot 5 - General Construction Works >£80m (nationwide).

The flexible CCS contract structure is designed to provide solutions for varying customer requirements. It includes advanced, innovative contract arrangements, allowing customers to procure programmes of work as self-managed sub-alliances. It is a flexible framework allowing the use of all common construction procurement methodologies and supporting early engagement of the supply chain.
