Rother Tidal Walls – East shortlisted for two TechFest Awards

We’re pleased to share that our Rother Tidal Walls – East project has been shortlisted for two Construction News and New Civil Engineer TechFest Awards.

The TechFest Awards recognise and reward the projects, teams and companies doing the most to harness technologies that drive the construction and civil engineering industries forward.

The project has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology: Site Productivity and the Best Use of Technology: Carbon Reduction in Construction and Management categories. When faced with limited space for construction, the team innovatively used a spider excavator to install a 5-metre-deep steel sheet pile wall through the embankment crest at Kings Avenue, marking the first time this technology has been used in this way. The shortlists recognise the team’s dedication to using technology in order to drive down carbon emissions and increase productivity in delivery of the project. “I am immensely proud of the team and their achievements. To be shortlisted for two TechFest Awards is a great recognition of the amazing people we have working on the scheme.”

The awards ceremony will be held on 27 November, good luck to the team!
