Preston and South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme score full marks in a recent CCS audit
The Preston and South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme (FRMS) has received full marks in a recent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) audit.
The scheme has scored the full 15 marks in each of the three key areas Respect the Community, Care for the Environment and Value their Workforce.
The report credited the teams plan to make a positive contribution to the natural environment upon completion of the project. The team has already begun work to positively contribute to the environment, with over 450 shrubs and trees having been planted in Broadgate Gardens, alongside four different types of grasses and a mix of bulbs, including Snowdrops and Daffodils.
The site was praised on the rigorous health and safety procedures in place and the presence of our Safety Ripple initiative. It was also recognised that the welfare facilities are clean, well equipped and available to all employees on site.
The team was also praised for its considerable efforts communicating with local residents about the work. They have built positive relationships with local schools and universities, through site visits and presentations.
“The work the team has done for the community is exceptional.”
