Littleborough to Rochdale FRMS scores full marks plus additional best practice point in a recent CCS audit
Phase 1b of the Littleborough and Rochdale Flood Risk Management Scheme (FRMS) has received full marks, plus an additional point for best practice, in a recent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) audit.
The bonus point was awarded for the use of EcoSheetPileTM Plus across the project. The EcoPiles Plus are manufactured using 100% recycled materials and renewable electricity, making them a much more environmentally friendly alternative to standard piles.
The audit recognised the team’s commitment to engaging with the local community through regular meetings, letter updates and face-to-face contact to keep residents informed about the work taking place in their area. The report also highlighted the care the team have taken for the natural environment throughout the duration of the project, with plans in place to reduce carbon and enhance the natural environment.
